«Extranjero en el Valle de los Reyes» is the historical essay by Ahmed Osman, published by Planeta in paperback (192 pages, in Spanish).
Osman argues that Yuya, viceroy of Thutmose IV in the 18th dynasty and the only figure to receive the title of «father of the pharaoh», is the patriarch Joseph. From that parallel with Genesis, he reinterprets the history of the Old Testament and questions current theories on pharaonic Egypt.
1988 edition published by Planeta in Barcelona, with black-and-white photographs; the cover subtitle summarizes the book's thesis.
Will appeal to fans of Egyptology and biblical history seeking an accessible and thought-provoking read.
