Synopsis of Extras

Several years have passed since the rebel Tally overthrew the system of Uglies, Pretties, and Specials. The world has undergone a renaissance under the gaze of millions of cameras, with society becoming a giant reality TV show. However, one rule remains: those under sixteen are forbidden in the city. Aya, an 'Extra' with a ridiculous facial rank, seeks to escape mediocrity by posting an incredible and dangerous story on the new network. This novel by Scott Westerfeld is the fourth installment in the Uglies series, exploring themes of rebellion and social control in a dystopian future.
