«Ez da hain erraza haurra izatea!» is the children's novel by Pilar Lozano Carbayo, published by Giltza in paperback (128 pages, in Basque).
Fernando Lagos, the narrator, says he has rather large ears, though no one has ever laughed at him for it: they have known him forever and perhaps see them as normal. This year, however, he begins to suspect things may change, and his daily life will no longer be so simple.
Third title in the Tukan Berdea collection. Winner of the 2008 Edebé Prize for Children's Literature. Illustrations by Montserrat Tobella Soler; Basque translation by Yolanda Arrieta Malaxetxebarria.
Aimed at child and young adult readers, especially those who enjoy everyday stories about acceptance and friendship.
