«Ezer baino lehen» is the short story collection by Arantxa Iturbe Maiz, published by Elkar in paperback (148 pages, in Basque).
Short stories with a fresh, ironic and carefree style that portray relationships between men and women with humor and depth. Iturbe's imagination creates an unforgettable gallery of female characters, young and old, always endearing. The prose, close to oral Basque, conveys the feeling of listening to stories whispered in one's ear.
It is number 128 in Elkar's Literatura collection, in its first edition of 1992. It is Arantxa Iturbe's first book.
Aimed at a general audience, especially readers interested in contemporary Basque literature.
