In Venice, Corto Maltese becomes involved in the search for the Clavicle of Solomon, an emerald that according to legend can open the doors of the occult. Pursued by young fascists, he takes refuge in a Masonic meeting and crosses paths with adventurers, in a plot that mixes history, mystery and dream.
The cover reads «Fábula de Venecia. Primera parte». It is the seventh installment of the Corto Maltese series; the Italian original «Favola di Venezia» appeared in 1977.
