«Família... Há Só Uma: e o cão foi achado na rua» is the humor book by Gomaespuma, published by Terramar in paperback (208 pages, in Portuguese).
Gomaespuma portrays with humor the archetypal family: the mother who feels enslaved by the home, the father who threatens with punishments and clichés, the children who release their energy on the dog, and the pet as the innocent victim of domestic chaos. A costumbrista parody of family life.
This Portuguese edition was published on April 1, 1993; the work originally appeared in Spanish in 1992 under the title «Familia no hay más que una y el perro lo encontramos en la calle».
Aimed at child and young adult readers, and especially suitable for sharing as a family.
