«Fantasías animadas» is the short story collection by Berta Marsé, published by Editorial Anagrama in paperback (241 pages, in Spanish).
The stories start from fantasy as an escape route: boredom, nostalgia, shame, envy, fear or the desire for revenge push the characters into daydreams that clash with reality. Stories like «Los Pons Pons», «Cocinitas» or «Gran Noche de Gala» show that tension between imagination and everyday life.
Published in 2010, it is Berta Marsé's second book, after her debut «En jaque», and belongs to the Narrativas hispánicas collection.
For fans of Spanish short fiction and stories that mix reality and fantasy.
