«El fantasma de Canterville» is Oscar Wilde's fantastic tale, published by Lumen Spain in paperback (81 pages, in Spanish).
An American family moves into the English mansion of Canterville Chase, to the ghost's dismay. The family, who does not believe in him, turns cohabitation into a series of comic situations; Wilde uses the cultural clash to satirize the British nobility and Americans in a tale full of irony.
Tale originally published in 1887; this edition is number 2 of Lumen's Grandes Autores collection, with illustrations by Oski.
Agile and entertaining reading, suitable for all audiences; its blend of humor and fantasy makes it especially appropriate for young readers.

Oscar Fingal O'Fflahertie Wills Wilde was an Irish author, poet and playwright. After writing in different literary styles throughout the 1880s, he became one of the most popular and influential dramatists in London in the early 1890s. He was a key figure in the emerging Aestheticism movement of the late 19th century and is widely regarded as the greatest playwright of the Victorian era. Wilde is best known for his Gothic novel The Picture of Dorian Gray (1890), his epigrams, plays and bedtime stories for children, as well as his criminal conviction in 1895 for gross indecency and for practicing homosexual acts.
