«Faust. Der Tragödie zweiter Teil» is the second part of Johann Wolfgang von Goethe's drama, published by Reclam in paperback (214 pages, in German).
In this continuation, Goethe leaves behind the subjective tone of the first part and unfolds a broader, clearer and more dispassionate world, laden with allegory and symbolism, in which ambition, power, knowledge and redemption resonate.
The work was originally published in 1832 and is part of the series «Goethe’s Faust» (2 of 2) and the collection «Reclams Universal-Bibliothek» (no. 2).
For students of German and readers of classical German theatre; in the German-speaking world it is used as Schullektüre in secondary school.
Escritor, científico y político alemán, máxima figura de la literatura en lengua alemana y autor de Fausto y Las desventuras del joven Werther.
