«Federico y el mar» is the children's story by Graciela Montes, published by Sudamericana in hardcover (16 pages, in Spanish).
Federico is at that stage where growing up becomes a complicated adventure: actions as simple as sharing a toy, going into the sea or deciding when to use the toilet demand an enormous effort from him. The story follows his tantrums, fears and mischief, and also his decision to keep going and celebrate every small triumph.
It belongs to the Federico Crece series, with illustrations by Claudia Legnazzi; other titles in the series are «Federico se hizo pis» and «Federico va a la escuela».
Recommended for children aged 4 to 8, for its close look at the emotions and routines of early childhood.
