«Feria» is the novel by Ana Iris Simón, published by Globe in paperback (272 pages, in French).
The work contrasts the precarious life Ana Iris Simón leads as a young university graduate with the past of her parents, who belonged to the popular Spain before the crisis. Through family memory and the fairs that give the book its title, it evokes a rural and traditional world to reflect on work, inheritance and the generational gap.
Translated from Spanish by Anne Plantagenet. The French edition was published on October 5, 2023.
For readers of contemporary fiction and memoirs seeking a personal look at rural Spain, family and the precariousness of a generation.
