«Fer-se totes les il·lusions possibles» is the volume of prose and scattered notes by Josep Pla, published by Destino CAT in hardcover (288 pp., in Catalan).
It brings together unpublished prose by Josep Pla recovered from his posthumous papers, edited by Francesc Montero. Written in the 1950s and 1960s, they show Pla as an observer of everyday life, a skeptical commentator, chronicler and literary portraitist. The title alludes to Pla's ideal: to have all possible illusions and believe in none.
Published in 2017, it belongs to the L'Àncora collection. The edition and prologue are by Francesc Montero.
Josep Pla i Casadevall was a Spanish journalist and a popular author. As a journalist he worked in France, Italy, Britain, Germany, and the Soviet Union, from where he wrote political and cultural chronicles in Catalan and Spanish.
