«Fiesta en el jardín» is the short story collection by Katherine Mansfield, published by RBA in hardcover (240 pages, in Spanish).
The title story portrays Laura, daughter of the Sheridans, who discovers the death of a neighbor while her family prepares a party; she expects her mother to cancel it, but the response leaves her dumbfounded. The other stories deal with children who do not understand the adult world and characters seeking their place.
It is Mansfield's third and final book of stories, originally published in 1922. This edition adds other short narratives, some posthumous, and includes a translation by Francesc Parcerisas.
For readers of short fiction and twentieth-century classics, especially those who value psychological observation and the literary tale.
