«Final de partida» is Ana Romero's chronicle of Juan Carlos I's abdication, published by La Esfera de los Libros in hardcover, 424 pages, in Spanish.
A chronicle of the last four years of Juan Carlos I's reign and the causes of his abdication. Ana Romero conducted over a hundred interviews to portray the septuagenarian king: estranged from Queen Sofía and his children, linked to Corinna zu Sayn-Wittgenstein, worn down by operations and out of touch with Spanish reality.
Part of the Actualidad collection. The first edition was published on April 21, 2015. Ana Romero (Cádiz, 1966), journalist and founder of El Mundo, has also written about the Spanish Transition.
For readers of history and biographies about the Spanish monarchy, interested in the final crisis of Juan Carlos I's reign and the inner workings of the Royal Household.
