«Flügelschlag. Eine Tochter begehrt auf» is the novel by Rose Zaddach, published by Salzer-Verlag in hardcover (192 pages, in German).
The novel follows Lisa, a young woman who, recalling her childhood, asks herself again and again what would have become of her if her mother had acted differently. Her memory is weighed down by her father's absence and a family atmosphere of religious rigidity; her story is that of someone seeking to leave those experiences behind, reconcile with her mother, and build a life of her own.
The work was published in 1992 and in some references also appears as «Flügelschlag. Roman einer Kindheit».
For readers of German-language fiction looking for stories about family, childhood, and reconciliation.
