«Fuego blanco» is the mystery novel by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child, published by Plaza & Janés in paperback (432 pages, in Spanish).
Corrie Swanson, the impetuous protégée of FBI agent Aloysius Pendergast, travels to Roaring Fork (Colorado) to study the skeletons of eleven miners devoured by a bear a hundred and fifty years ago. After being jailed for defying the ban on investigating, she asks Pendergast for help. Convinced that the miners did not die from the animal's claws, the investigation veers toward a possible connection with a supposedly lost Sherlock Holmes story, intertwining past and present.
Thirteenth installment in the Inspector Pendergast series.
Recommended for readers of crime and mystery fiction who follow the Inspector Aloysius Pendergast saga.
