Synopsis of Fuente Ovejuna

Fuente Ovejuna es una obra de teatro del Siglo de Oro español escrita por Lope de Vega. Basada en un hecho histórico ocurrido en el pueblo de Fuente Obejuna, Córdoba, en 1476, la obra narra la rebelión del pueblo contra el comendador Fernán Gómez de Guzmán debido a sus abusos de poder y su tiranía. La trama se centra en la unión y valentía del pueblo, que, ante la pregunta de quién mató al comendador, responde unánimemente: "Fuente Ovejuna, señor". La obra es un alegato a la justicia popular y a la defensa del honor y la dignidad frente a la opresión.
