«Fuente Ovejuna» is the Golden Age play by Lope de Vega, published by Austral in paperback (180 pages, in Spanish).
The play dramatizes the rebellion of the villagers of Fuente Ovejuna, a town in Córdoba, against the commander Fernán Gómez de Guzmán, an abusive and corrupt ruler. Based on a historical event from 1476, it shows how men, women and children decide to take justice into their own hands to recover their honor and freedom in the face of tyranny.

Félix Lope de Vega y Carpio was a Spanish playwright, poet, and novelist who was a key figure in the Spanish Golden Age (1492–1659) of Baroque literature.
