«Fundación» is the science fiction novel by Isaac Asimov published by Mediasat in hardcover (315 pages, in Spanish).
In a remote future, humanity has colonized the galaxy and lives under the Empire of Trantor, which seems eternal. The psychohistorian Hari Seldon, through mathematical analysis of history, foresees its fall and a long era of barbarism. To reduce that period, he promotes the creation of two Foundations at opposite ends of the galaxy; the novel focuses on the first of them.
First installment of the Foundation series, originally published in 1951. This 2002 edition belongs to the Biblioteca El Mundo collection (no. 42) and includes a prologue by Lázaro Covadlo.
