«Galván en Saor» is the novel by Darío Xohán Cabana, published by Edicións Xerais in paperback (176 pages, in Galician).
Galván, prince of the northern lands and companion of Artur in Brittany, travels beyond geography and time and, like Cunqueiro's Merlin, appears among us. A novel of humor, love and adventure, it pays homage to the ancient crafts of chivalric and medieval narrative with a lyrical prose that enhances the story.
Winner of the Xerais Novel Prize in 1989, the work was originally published that year; this edition is the fourth, in the Edición Literaria - Narrativa collection.
For readers of contemporary Galician narrative and literary recreations of the Arthurian cycle.
Galician writer and translator (1952–2021)
