«Gárgoris y Habidis: Una historia mágica de España» is the essay by Fernando Sánchez Dragó, published by Planeta in paperback (960 pages, in Spanish).
Originally published in December 1978, the work caused a literary and philosophical stir in transition-era Spain: it traverses myths and legends of Spanish history from a personal and heterodox perspective. This edition, with a clarifying prologue by the author, brings together the complete text in a single volume and is presented as the definitive version.
Third edition in the Planeta Bolsillo collection (no. 391). National Essay Prize in 1979.
For readers of historical essays who appreciate personal and heterodox perspectives on Spain's past.
Fernando Sánchez Dragó was a Spanish writer and television host.
