«Gulu. Una discesa agli inferi» is Margherita D'Amico's chronicle of Uganda, published by A. Mondadori in paperback (147 pages, in Italian).
Between July 2002 and January 2003, the author traveled twice to Gulu with the NGO Amref-Italia and her husband, Luca Zingaretti, to shoot a documentary. The book is the account of those visits: a region of northern Uganda marked by the violence of the Lord's Resistance Army, the recruitment of child soldiers, camps for displaced people and the 2000 Ebola epidemic.
