«Habitación doble» is the contemporary fiction novel by Luis Magrinyà, published by Editorial Anagrama in paperback (312 pages, in Spanish).
Four stories —an editor and an accident with an ember, an electrician who creates an installation on the Nile, a dinner of doctors and a journey to Paris— form a chain of situations with echoes of one another: family relationships, peculiar jobs and mental disorders. The narration invites the reader to board a moving train and to be carried along by a broken structure, with humor and irony, on a creative and welcoming journey.
Published in 2010 as number 471 of Anagrama's Narrativas hispánicas collection. The work received the Barcelona City Literature Prize in 2011.
For readers of contemporary literary fiction seeking original structures and characters far from novelistic clichés.
