«Hadabruja» is the children's story by Brigitte Minne, illustrated by Carll Cneut, published by Barbara Fiore Editora in paperback (32 pages, in Spanish).
In the fairy world, being sweet and neat is the norm; Rosamaría, however, finds that life boring and would rather fly on a broom and get dirty like a witch. When she decides to move to the witches' forest, the story speaks of independence, difference and respect. The illustrations combine acrylics, pastels and wax crayons in red and pink tones.
Work originally published in Dutch as «Heksenfee» (1999); this Spanish edition, translated by Carles Andreu Saburit and Albert Vitó Godina, appeared in 2006.
For children aged 6 to 8, especially those who enjoy fairy tales and witches.
