«Historia de Lemona» is the fiction novel by Ken Saro-Wiwa, published by Ediciones Zanzibar in paperback (199 pages, in Spanish).
Lemona has been in prison for 25 years when, on the eve of her execution, she receives a visit from Ola, who introduces herself as Patricia and claims to be a psychology student. Lemona is accused of the death of Ola's parents; from that encounter, the novel reconstructs her past of poverty, abuse and betrayal, and her entry into a world of corruption.
The work was published in April 2004 within the Otras Narrativas collection.
For fiction readers interested in portraits of female characters and stories of social injustice.
