«Historia de los Papas» is the historical essay by Luis Tomás Melgar on the papacy, published by Libsa in hardcover (444 pages, in Spanish).
The book traces the history of the papacy from Saint Peter to Benedict XVI and examines each era through its pontiffs: the major events, the movements of the time and the biography of each Pope. It thus offers an overview of two millennia of the Catholic Church and the evolution of the papal institution.
Published in 2005 in the Narraciones Históricas collection, with a bilingual edition in Spanish and English, as reflected in the work's subtitle.
Aimed at readers interested in religious history, Catholic Christianity and the legacy of the papacy in society.
