«Historia de macacos y otros relatos» is the short story collection by Francisco Ayala, published in 1991 in paperback (93 pages, in Spanish).
The work brings together six stories that connect the universal with the historical, political and cultural reality of the time in which they were written; they pulse with the social and literary concerns that Francisco Ayala also developed in his essays.
The volume belongs to the Biblioteca de El Sol collection and is presented as the first critical edition of Historia de macacos.
Francisco Ayala García-Duarte was a Spanish writer, the last representative of the Generation of '27.
