«Hombre rico, hombre pobre» is the novel by American writer Irwin Shaw, published by Plaza & Janés in paperback (774 pages, in Spanish).
A choral tale of the Jordaches, a family of German immigrants in the United States, seen over the years. Rudy, the ambitious son, seeks to make his way in business and politics, while his brother Tom, rebellious in nature, gets involved in trouble. At the center: the price of success, family loyalty, and the disillusionment of the American dream.
Original title: Rich Man, Poor Man. Translated from English by J. Ferrer Aleu. Edition from the Varia collection.
