«Honor perdido» is the testimony of Norma Khouri, published by RBA Coleccionables in hardcover (232 pages, in Spanish).
In «Honor perdido», Norma Khouri tells the story of Dalia, a young Muslim woman from Amman who falls in love with Michael, a Catholic soldier; a forbidden relationship that could cost her life. The author thus addresses gender violence and the situation of women in Jordan, where ancestral traditions clash with individual freedom.
Edition published in 2004 within the Testimonios de Mujer collection. Translation by Ángeles Leiva Morales of the English original 'Honor lost'.
For readers interested in gender violence and the social situation of women in Jordan.
