«Horrible History» is Tim Wood's children's history and humor book, published by Wayland in hardcover (80 pages, in English).
The book introduces young readers to history from its less edifying side: personal hygiene, eating habits and the punishment of crimes in the past. With a light-hearted and humorous tone, it tells what school textbooks usually omit.
Published on November 30, 1995, with the cover subtitle 'or what they didn't teach you at school' and illustrations by Ian Dicks.
Aimed at children and young readers from around 8 years old, especially those who prefer a light-hearted approach to the past.
Timothy Lyle Wood is an American former figure skater. He is a two-time World champion, a 1968 Olympic silver medalist and a three-time U.S. national champion.
