«Iberia: Los orígenes» is the historical essay by Joan Santacana, published by Anaya Infantil y Juvenil in paperback (95 pages, in Spanish).
Santacana covers peninsular prehistory from the Paleolithic hunter-gatherers to the first Roman incursions, with a chapter on the aborigines of the Canary Islands. Unlike a technical manual, the author avoids the most complex archaeological debates and, through selected examples, recreates the way of life and advances of primitive societies.
The work belongs to the Biblioteca Básica de Historia collection, General series, and is presented as the first volume dedicated to the prehistory of the peninsula.
Suitable for young readers aged 12 and over and for those seeking an accessible introduction to the ancient history of the Iberian peninsula.
