«Il lercio» is the mystery novel by Irvine Welsh, published by TEA in paperback, in Italian.
The plot begins with the murder of the Ghanaian ambassador's son in Edinburgh. The case falls to Sergeant Bruce Robertson, an efficient and ambitious policeman whose real personality is corrupt, cruel, and full of prejudice. Suspicion points to a far-right gang, but the investigation becomes tangled and reveals the protagonist's abysses.
The original in English, Filth, was published in 1998; the Italian translation is by Massimo Bocchiola.
