«Il pianeta azzurro» is Luigi Malerba's postmodern novel, published by Mondadori in paperback (369 pages, in Italian).
Considered Malerba's first postmodern novel, it takes the form of a paradoxical thriller to weave together the conspiracies of the P2 and the ramifications of mafia power in Italian politics. The narrative revolves around an assassination attempt with references to the twentieth century, from which a recognizable political figure emerges.
Originally published in 1986, it won the Mondello Prize in 1987 and is part of the Oscar Scrittori Moderni collection (number 1928).
For readers of contemporary fiction interested in Italian politics and its hidden plots.
