«Imperiled Planet» is the environmental essay by Edward Goldsmith, Peter Bunyard, Nicholas Hildyard and Patrick McCully, published by MIT Press in hardcover (288 pages).
The book starts from the idea of a living and vulnerable Earth. It surveys different ecosystems, from forests and rivers to oceans and deserts, and explains how human activity has altered them. For readers interested in ecology and the environment who seek a global view of the environmental crisis and proposals to address it.
