«Imprenta Babel» is the contemporary fiction novel by Andreu Carranza, published by Editorial Planeta in hardcover (384 pages, in Spanish).
Pol receives a letter from his dying uncle: he must find the old Babel printing press and an encrypted message about his origins. The search brings to light the story of his family, a line of printers marked by postwar censorship. A tribute to the Gutenberg era, the novel reviews printing in Catalonia and Spain and reflects on the digital book.
First edition published on March 5, 2009; it belongs to the TH Novela collection.
For readers of contemporary fiction interested in the history of printing, censorship and family memory.
