In 'Inside the Company: CIA Diary', Philip Agee offers a revealing and critical look from within the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). Published in 1975, this book details Agee's experiences as a CIA agent in Latin America during the 1960s, exposing the covert tactics and destabilization operations carried out by the agency. The author describes how the CIA intervened in the internal politics of various Latin American countries, supporting authoritarian regimes and suppressing social and political movements considered threatening to U.S. interests. This diary not only narrates the CIA's activities but also reflects on the ethical and moral implications of such actions, becoming an impactful and controversial testimony that challenges the public perception of the agency and its role in the world.
