«Introducing Machiavelli» is the educational comic by Patrick Curry and Oscar Zarate, published in 1996 by Icon Books in paperback (175 pages, in English).
The work traces the life of Niccolò Machiavelli, from his service to the Florentine republic to torture and exile, and frames the ideas of The Prince in their historical context. Text and illustrations show Machiavelli's view of power and why The Prince is still read as a guide for rulers or as political analysis.
It belongs to the Introducing Graphic Guides series, edited by Richard Appignanesi, and includes bibliographic references.
Intended for readers seeking a first visual and accessible approach to Machiavelli and political philosophy.

Oscar Zárate is an Argentine comic book artist and illustrator. Zarate studied architecture and had a successful career in advertising in Argentina. He moved to Europe in 1971 and began to work in earnest as an illustrator. He has drawn for the UK comics magazine Crisis. In the Introducing... and ...For Beginners book series he illustrated texts written by Richard Appignanesi, Alexei Sayle, Dylan Evans, J P McEvoy, Angus Gellatly, Rupert Woodfin and Christopher Marlowe. He is perhaps best known in the United States as the artist for the graphic novel A Small Killing written by Alan Moore, a one-shot story about a rising star in the world of advertising who is being stalked by a sadistic child.
