«Isaac Newton and His Apple» is the youth science book by Kjartan Poskitt, published by Apple in paperback (192 pages, in English).
The book humorously reviews the life of Isaac Newton, famous for gravity and for receiving an apple on his head. It also covers little-known episodes: he came last in his class, nearly blinded himself by poking his eyes with sticks, and was almost executed. The narrative includes Newton's supposed diary and the newspaper The Stuart Sun.
The work, published in 1999, belongs to the Dead Famous series and features illustrations by Philip Reeve.
For young readers aged 8 to 12 who want history and science told with humor.
Kjartan Poskitt is a British writer and TV presenter who is best known for writing the Murderous Maths children's series of books.
