This book tells the raw story of Isabel la Católica, a queen who marked the destiny of Spain. Through its pages, it explores how Isabel lived prisoner of her need for power, facing family upsets, grudges and jealousy. The work also addresses her insensitivity to cultural diversity, which led to tragic events such as the expulsion of the Jewish community and the extermination of the "Indians" of the Antilles. José Enrique Ruiz-Domènec, professor of medieval history, offers a critical view of this historical figure.
