«Ítaca» is the historical novel by Claire North, published in 2023 by Vidis in hardcover (448 pages, in Spanish).
Penelope, queen of Ithaca, takes the floor to tell her own version of events: the novel develops, from her point of view, life in the palace and the weight of waiting, moving away from the epic tale centered on heroes.
The edition was published on May 3, 2023 within the VIDIS Histórica line.
It will appeal to readers of historical fiction and to those seeking retellings of classical mythology with a female voice.
Catherine Webb is a British author. Under the pseudonym Kate Griffin, they write fantasy novels for adults. As Claire North, they write science fiction and novels based upon the work of Homer.
