«Iván y Kira» is the children's story by Carlos Bustamante, published by Ediciones Palabra in paperback (80 pages, in Spanish).
Two puppies, Iván and Kira, arrived at the Dehesa when Grandpa Paco was a child, thanks to a friend from Valladolid whose dog had had ten puppies and could not care for them. Since then, the two animals become holiday companions and star in a story about fraternity, loyalty and affection towards animals.
The book belongs to the collection «La Mochila de Astor» (green series) and is number 12; it corresponds to the 2nd edition of 2003, with illustrations by Susana Riojano.
Recommended for boys and girls aged 7 to 9, especially for those who enjoy stories starring animals.
