«Jardí vora el mar» is the novel by Mercè Rodoreda, published by Club Editor in paperback (236 pages, in Catalan).
An old gardener witnesses, over six summers, the life of a wealthy family in a tower by the sea. Celebrations and singular characters follow one another in a garden that seems like paradise, though the joy conceals harsher realities: loves that fail and a survival instinct that does not forgive. The book closes with an epilogue by Roser Porta.
Volume 6 of the Club Editor jove collection. The work was originally published in 1967.
