«Je suis mort, et alors ?» is the black humor book by journalist and writer Philippe Bouvard, published by J'ai lu in paperback (192 pages, in French).
French journalist and writer Philippe Bouvard approaches death with irony: he presents himself as an author writing after death and reviews old age, illness, family and the passage of time with black humor. The cover calls it a «posthumous testimony of a living author»; his «carnets de mort» are a light-hearted and corrosive reflection on life.
The work originally appeared in 2009; the present J'ai lu edition, in French and in paperback format, is from January 2011.
For readers seeking an ironic and unsentimental look at old age and death.
