«Je te sauverai !» is the children's adventure novel by Eric Simard and Vincent Dutrait, published by Magnard in paperback (48 pages, in French).
Alan is a boy who doesn't speak: for a long time, words have remained locked inside his body. When the oil tanker Erika sinks off the Breton coast and the black tide reaches the beaches, Alan throws himself into saving Jonathan, a bird found in poor condition. For him, a great adventure full of love and patience begins.
The story is inspired by the sinking of the oil tanker Erika in December 1999. It is part of the Que d'histoires ! collection (CE1, series 1, period 5, 2002).
It is designed for primary education, with pedagogical resources for working in class on the relationship between fiction and reality.
