«Jo, me'n vaig» is the young adult novel by Mariasun Landa Etxebeste, published by Cruïlla in paperback (64 pages, in Catalan).
Xabier has lost his father and doesn't understand why his mother has a boyfriend, nor why his friend Antton is far away when he needs him most, nor why Idoia says nothing to him. He also doesn't know what he wants to be when he grows up, while others seem to have it clear. His confusion reflects the difficulty of accepting family changes.
It belongs to the El Barco de Vapor Roja collection (number 155). Text translated from Basque, with illustrations by Iratxe López de Munáin.
For young readers aged 12 and up, with a story focused on family and emotions after a loss.
