«Jon i la màquina de la por» is the children's novel by Roberto García Santiago, published by edebé in paperback (136 pages, in Catalan).
Jon has just turned ten and lives in fear: he is scared of beetles, dogs, wasps, electrical outlets, roller coasters, and nightfall. His greatest fear is being afraid, so a fairground ride called «la màquina de la por», which offers a day without fear for five hundred pesetas, will put his courage to the test.
The work belongs to the Tucà verd collection (no. 26) and was translated from Spanish into Catalan by Montserrat Andrés i Casamiquela.
Recommended for readers aged 10 and up, especially those who enjoy stories about fear and bravery.
