«Jordán» is the novel by J. J. Benítez, published by Editorial Planeta in hardcover (560 pages, in Spanish).
J. J. Benítez reconstructs in detail the alleged baptism of Jesus of Nazareth in one of the tributaries of the Jordan River. The narrative dwells on what may have happened during that historic day and maintains that the Master never withdrew to the desert nor was tempted by the devil, a version that departs from the traditional account.
Eighth installment of the «Caballo de Troya» saga, from the collection «Los otros mundos de J. J. Benítez», published in 2006.
For followers of the «Caballo de Troya» saga and of J. J. Benítez, and for readers of historical and religious fiction interested in biblical episodes.
