«K. L. Reich» is the historical novel by Joaquim Amat Piniella, published by Edicions 62 in paperback (560 pages, in Catalan).
The novel follows Emili, a Republican deportee who spends five years in a concentration camp making pornographic drawings for the SS. The work reflects on morality, resistance and the human condition, and comes close to the works of Primo Levi, Jorge Semprún and Imre Kertész.
Written in Andorra between 1945 and 1946, it was not published until 1963 due to Francoist censorship. This 2005 edition, from the Educació 62 collection, includes a preliminary study and didactic proposals.
Edition intended as prescribed reading for high school, with didactic resources for classes, debates and exams; useful for students and teachers.
