«Katie the Kitten Fairy» is Daisy Meadows' children's fantasy novel, published by Orchard Books in paperback (80 pages, in English).
Jack Frost steals the magical pets of the Pet Fairies, and they escape from his castle, ending up loose in the human world. Without them, the fairies cannot ensure that every pet finds the right owner. Rachel and Kirsty set out to recover them, and Katie, the kitten fairy, needs to get her pet back.
It is the first book of the The Pet Keeper Fairies subseries within Rainbow Magic, originally published in April 2006.
Recommended for readers aged 5 to 7, with stories of fairies, pets and friendship.
Rainbow Magic is a British children's fiction brand originally created by Working Partners and currently owned by Mattel, with some licensing rights held by IoM Media Ventures. The books are ghostwritten by a number of authors under the collective pseudonym Daisy Meadows, and illustrated by Georgie Ripper in earlier books and other uncredited illustrators in later books. The series follows the lives of Kirsty Tate, Rachel Walker, Gracie Adebayo and Khadijah Khan and their magical adventures with their fairy friends.
