«Katy Cat and Beaky Boo» is the children's flap book by Lucy Cousins, published by Walker Books Ltd in hardcover (24 pages, in English).
Katy Cat, an orange kitten, and her friend Beaky Boo, a puffin, invite little ones to lift more than forty flaps. Lifting each flap reveals the answer to questions about colors, clothes or animals, while the book covers basic concepts such as numbers, patterns and animal sounds.
The work was originally published in 1996; this edition is from 2001.
Aimed at preschool children, its flap format encourages active participation and discovery of basic concepts.
